Subcontractor Insurance Requirements
Minimum insurance coverage required for all subcontractors
Important
All certificates must name SDF Contracting, LLC as Additional Insured with respect to liability arising from your work. Certificates must include statement about 30-day notice requirement for cancellation or material changes.
Workers' Compensation
- •Statutory coverage required
- •Employer's Liability: Minimum $100,000
General Liability Insurance
- •Per Occurrence: $1,000,000
- •Aggregate: $2,000,000
- •Personal Injury: $1,000,000
- •Products/Completed Operations: $2,000,000
- •Must include: XCU, Contractual, Broad Form Property Damage
Automobile Liability
- •Per Person: $100,000
- •Per Accident: $500,000
- •Property Damage: $100,000
- •OR Combined Single Limit: $300,000
- •Must cover: Owned, Non-Owned, and Hired Vehicles
Excess Umbrella Liability
- •Per Occurrence: $1,000,000
- •Aggregate: $1,000,000
- •Required for larger projects at contractor's discretion
Additional Requirements
- Insurance companies must have A.M. Best Rating of "A" or better
- Companies must be authorized to do business in Florida
- 30-day cancellation notice required
- Certificates must be submitted before starting work
